From the Guardian Dragon’s mouth dangle gleaming chains made of ornate metal securely suspending a spherical nest. The nest, an otherworldly treasure, is crafted with an organic texture. The precious eggs emit a faint, magical glow from within, lending an ethereal, mystical atmosphere to the sculpture's setting. The dragon’s eyes burn with a fierce, protective light, conveying both wisdom and ferocity.
The nest reflects a captivating scene of family and magic. The sibling dragon is crouched low, its head bowed close to the nest, offering assistance with a gentle touch, greeting the new hatchling. The helper tending the soon-to-be hatched eggs. The magical crystals and eggs have an otherworldly glow.
I designed and handmade this family dragon diorama sculpture. It is made out of silver, copper and brass. It took 600 hours to build.
LED lights powered by 2 x 9v batteries create the glow of the crystals and eggs.
Scroll shapes are a design feature repeated throughout the sculpture in the wings, chains and titanium wire.
The teenage dragons has cabochon garnets around in a crown.
Natural formed crystal are used in the nest.
The base is wood called Rodesian Teak.
