There is a cross for each one of the eight hundred innocent babies, starved, neglected and abused to death.
All this, in the care of the Catholic Church order of the Sisters of Bon Secours in Tuam.
As punishment for the sins of their unwed mothers.
This is the third sculpture in my Soul Catcher series, the first two being aimed at the dirty pedophile priests and their ungodly enabler the Catholic Church.
The Soul Cross Sculpture is a chariot in the shape of a cross on millipede feet. A bed of 800 hundred crosses visually represent the volume of the innocent lives lost. The chariot is steered by the Retribution Reaper together with the Justice Serpent. The Retribution Reaper hunts down the devilish souls of the guilty nuns, sentensed to eternal damnation and agony.
Eight hundred babies and children were starved, neglected and abused to death by the Bon Secours nuns over a period from 1925 to 1961 as a Catholic-run institution for unmarried mothers and their children in Tuam.
This particular depiction model will be aimed at the souls of the catholic nuns that, as women, went against every conceivable metric of human nurture, under the umbrella of religion and got away with it.
I dedicate this Cross Sculpture to all defenseless children, past and present, suffering the unthinkable. The shocking reality is that Tuam is but one institution, of thousands, who to this day, continue to inflict cruelty on the innocent, desperately looking up to protectors, but fail them.
Let SILENCE never be complicit.
